It Really Is The Good Life
in case you didn’t catch this video on TV or on the web, it’s nice to share.
and to all my non-NE friends… you’re welcome to visit us anytime!
Love me some Miranda Lambert
last night, the BFF and I drove up to Council Bluffs, IA for the Miranda Lambert Concert.
this was our third time to see her. it was awesome!!!
She’s fiesty and fun, and reminds me a bit of myself… but more awesome, of course!
The Bumpit even had a good time… but of course, he/she should know all the songs by heart by now, since i sing them at the top of my lungs when we are riding the in car.
i have finally decided on what i want for my 30th birthday (only 8 days away, mind you) i want to head a Miranda Lambert Cover Band… and we can play all the songs from her 3 CD’s… nothing else. that’s attainable, right?
pictorial evidence of the fun:

Okay, this was taken in July, 2006 at the Adams County Fair in Hastings, NE. If you look real close, over my shoulder, you might be able to see Miranda on stage. (Fun Fact: This just so happened to be the same night that AJ asked for my parent’s blessing to propose! sneaky!)

it’s not as hard to find her in this pic, huh? NE State Fair, 2008 – Flippin’ Awesome!

a fun way to Celebrate Meghan’s 30th Birthday!!!
poor quality, for that i apologize, but i love this song!
731 days ago… LOVE!
Today marks the two year anniversary of the most awesome wedding ever (it is my firm belief that each bride is able to say that their own wedding is the best!… also, AJ and I have agreed that no wedding since our’s will ever measure up… sorry pals!)
it was a great day- and its been a great ride so far! I have the sweetest Husband and two of the cutest pups a girl could ask for… here’s to all the fun days ahead!!
and here are some of my favorite snaps from the Big Day:

I had a blast as an active member if the Iota Lambda Chapter of Alpha Chi Omega. I pledged in the fall of 1998 and have made some awesome friends and had great life experiences because of it! As i get older, i realize how important those friends are and how they fit into such an important time in my life! With the magic of technology, its great to be able to connect with so many more of them through Facebook and their own blogs!
And recently, I have had the opportunity to connect with even more sisters through Xi Chapter at the University of Nebraska… where I sit on the House Corporation Board, I serve as advisor to three offices (Membership Development, Fraternity Relations and Philanthropy) and am the President of the Kappa Kappa Alumnae Chapter … (by the way, if you are a Lincoln-area Alumna, contact me, we would love to have you as a part of the group!)
It’s really fun being involved with the local chapter, and interacting with the collegians. They are brilliant young women, with bright futures, that remind me that, sometimes, it’s best just to be a little crazy and let loose!
I love AXO!
here are some photos of AXO fun!

I LOVE that my Cousin is an AXO… (and a Horned Frog!)

File This Under: Things I Love
there are many things i love… namely, AJ, the pooches, family & friends… as referenced through past and future posts.
but further to that– there are tons of other things that make my day, on a regular basis… and when the mood strikes me, i shall share them here:
(because if Oprah can do it, so can i!… consider this: The K List”)
For today, i will share this as one of my favorite things:
Mamma’s Little 40-Ouncer
Well, Lucy got her post last week, and now THOR has been pouting… okay, he really doesn’t know, because, being the good parent that i am, i don’t give him internet access… he’s only six, you know. (well, i guess, in “dog years” that would make him 42… which would make him the Man of the House… ha! try to tell AJ that… actually, try to tell Lucy that… we all know she rules the roost!)
Anywhoozer… our sweet little boy deserves his own post, as well!

*to which, she destroyed the toy last week – it’s disemboweled and inside out, currently

Forty’s 15 minutes of fame!
He’s such a sweetie, and such a cuddler… to think that he spent the first four years of his life in an 8′ x 5′ dog run on a cement slab… poor baby! he’s my sweet boy, and would be most happy following me around all day… i should look into bringing him to work with me some time… you think they would let me?
I joke that when i met AJ, he was trying to impress me with all these things… “I have my own house”, “I own a corvette”… “i have a dog”… to which i responded, “YOU HAVE A DOG?!”
We Love Our THOR!
I Swear, The Dog is Part Cat!
That Little Lucy! she’s just so funny.
Since we got her, i have said i think she’s part cat. here are my points of proof:
- she likes to “hunt” THOR – she crouches down and waits for him to get close and then pounces on him. i said, Pounce!
- when she is playing, she kind of Meow’s… well, maybe it sounds more like Chewbaca… but its kind of a “RRrrwoooww”
- she likes to bat her right paw at me when she thinks she doesn’t have my full and undivided attention
- when she’s happy, she pushes her head back (as if she’s trying to give herself a double-chin) and then makes this snorty noise from her throat… kinda like a purr
- and then last night- though we are trying not to let the dogs on the bed – she was being ultra needy– and finally got comfortable on my pillow, above my head, curled up, LIKE A CAT!!!
Weirdo!
but she’s sweet, and she’s such a cuddler. she loves to walk, and RUN, and chew things! she’s our baby, and we love her!!!
here are some WOOSY PHOTOS from months past!
