.5Marathon training: Update

sunday, AJ was kind enough to play with baby B, and Lucy was kind enough to drag me around the University Place Neighborhood for a 4.3 mile run.

tuesday, my body was kind enough to rise at 5:11am and i re-introduced myself to an old friend

This buddy and i haven’t talked much in the last five years or so – but we picked right up where we left off… well, kind of.

the alarm is set for 5:11 again tomorrow morning. maybe i’ll run into that other long-lost acquaintance, the Wii Fit!

i was intrigued by this:

and i just so happened to have a pound of hamburger that needed to meet the frying pan by last night, or i would have to introduce it to the trash can.

while our frozen pizza cooked (i know, Mom of the Year, huh?), i browned the hamburger and all the other parts, and assembled this.

it now sits in the fridge, ready for me to cook and serve for tonight’s meal.

for now, the jury is out. i’ll be sure to share the verdict.

the other day, Big Boy B and i were driving to meet up with AJ.

I had recently unearthed my copy of the introductory CD for Lady Antebellum, and had forgotten how much I enjoyed rocking out with my girl Hilary Scott.

In the middle of one of the songs, I realize that B is getting noticeably agitated, so i turn down the tunes and ask, “What’s wrong buddy?”

to which he responded, “jabber, jabber, jabber.”

so i responded, “is it okay that mommy is singing?”

and he quickly replied, “No!”

yeah, well, see if he gets invited to our next Karaoke night!

in trying to find a silver lining to our recent basement invasion, i noted to AJ, “hey, if we have evidence of snakes, that means we don’t have mice… right?”

to which, he said, “Yes, in the same way that if we have a moth in the house, we definitely don’t have a bat.”
